Moore, Jack S. (1835 - 1927)

����John "Jackie" Steuben Moore came west for the adventure, early in 1860.� He found it with the famed Pony Express.� He rode from St. Joseph, Missouri, and stayed with the Pony Express during its short history.� He later settled in the Arkansas Valley area of Colorado.� It is said he was the first white settler in this area.� He drove a stage and ran a small cattle ranch, located a mile north of Fowler.� He remained in the area until his death, in 1927, at age ninety-two.

�He is buried in an unmarked grave in Nepesta Cemetery, Pueblo County, Colorado.
