LUDWIG KRAMER

This gentleman is numbered among the "old-timers" of Colorado. He was born in Wittenberg, Germany, September 24, 1825. He came to America in 1852, and located in Iowa. He was married in Germany, and brought his wife and son with him to America. In 1858, he removed from Iowa to Jackson County, Mo., where he lived about two years. He came out to Colorado in the spring of 1860, and prospected in California Gulch about six months, after which he returned to his family in Missouri, and remained with them until 1863. In the spring of that year he removed to Colorado and settled in Pueblo County, where he has since lived and engaged in ranching. He is now a large stock owner, and is one of the most substantial and highly respected citizens of the country. In 1878, Mr. Kramer was elected one of the County Commissioners of Pueblo County, which office he nows holds.
