Joseph G. Ianne - Pueblo Chieftain - January 08, 2002 - Affectionately known as "Gump" to his close friends, passed away Jan. 5, 2002. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rosario and Rose Ianne; wife, Virginia "Trapani" Ianne, Sept. 2, 1992; sisters, Josephine Pullaro, Susie Bendetti, Jennie Messina, Frances Maroney, Mary Nally and Theresa Marino; and brother, Tony Ianne. Joe is survived by brothers, Mike Cortese and Carmen Mastreno, both of Pueblo, and numerous nieces and nephews. Viewing from 2 to 7 p.m. today, T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Wednesday, Shrine of St. Therese, followed by entombment at Roselawn Cemetery. Military honors by Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team. Ibanez, Josephine
Josephine Ibanez - Huerfano World - December 3, 1992 - Josephine Ibanez, 85, died Nov. 18, 1992. Born Mar. 19,1 907, in Huerfano County, the daughter of Juan and Faustina Valdez, she married Segundo Ibanez Nov. 1, 1924. Survivors include her sons, George Ibanez and Ed Ibanez, two sisters, Victoria Gonzalez, Denver and Freida Choury, California; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral mass was from St. Mary Church Nov. 21. Burial was in North St. Mary Cemetery.

Icabone, Anthony
Anthony Icabone - Pueblo Chieftain - January 07, 2005 - Anthony Icabone, 83, passed away Jan. 1, 2005. Survived by his wife of 58 years, Cynthia Mary Icabone; sons, Dennis (Sue) Icabone of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Gregory (Amy) Icabone of La Veta, Colo.; granddaughters, Marissa, Jenny Rose and Abigail; and grandson, Layton. Anthony was born Dec. 9, 1921, in Pueblo and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He owned and operated Icabone Air Conditioning and Heating in Pueblo. Anthony enjoyed hunting, fishing and he and Cynthia enjoyed playing golf. Private family services were held. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Alzheimer's Association, through the funeral home.

Icabone, Beulah May
Beulah May Icabone - Pueblo Chieftain - April 29, 2002 - Beulah May Icabone, (nee Finnell), passed away April 28, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred L. Icabone, in 1979. Surviving Beulah are her two children, Ron (Cathy) Icabone and Aliene (Dwight) Montoya; and five grandchildren, Damon and Blake Icabone, Dustin, Dante and Alana Montoya, all of Pueblo. She is also survived by one sister, Vera Fields of Vinita, Okla.; several in-laws; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Born on Aug. 1, 1914, in Vinita, Okla., she moved to Pueblo in 1935. Beulah enjoyed all people, horse racing, and card games. The family wishes to thank the staff of Life Care Center (station one) for the comfort and care provided during the last few days of her life. Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Shrine of St. Therese. Entombment to follow Roselawn Mausoleum.

Evelyn Icabone – Pueblo Chieftain – November 1, 2006 - Evelyn Icabone passed away Oct. 31, 2006. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Icabone; brother, Joseph Cacciavillani; and sisters, Delia DelliQuardi and Sylvia Vandetti. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Friday, Shrine of St. Therese. Entombment, Roselawn Mausoleum. In lieu of food and flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Evelyn's memory. The family will receive friends in the church hall.

Ice, Darrell H.
Darrell H. Ice - Pueblo Chieftain - February 13, 1999 - Darrell H. Ice, 81, passed away Feb. 12, 1999. Survived by his wife, Annie Ice- adopted granddaughter, Kristi Koschke and her family- and two sisters, Edith McComb and Olive Hoffmeister, both of Topeka, Kan. Preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Mr. Ice was in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He also worked at CF&I for 42 years and enjoyed playing golf at City Park. Graveside service, 10 a.m. Monday, Imperial Memorial Gardens. Viewing, noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. The family respectfully requests the omission of food and flowers.

Iiams, Blanch Lucile
Blanche Lucile Iiams - Pueblo Chieftain - December 23, 2003 - Blanche Lucile Iiams, 88, passed away Dec. 21, 2003. Born Dec. 5, 1915, in Shamrock, Okla., and was a Pueblo resident most of her adult life. Blanche was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Edna Ricks; husband, Virgil Iiams; brothers, Sammi and Glenn Ricks; and sisters, Beulah Lea Scharton, Eula Mae Miller and Oleta Quigley. She is survived by sisters, Wynona McPhail, June (Caldwell) Beck and Lou Ruzanski; brothers, Jack, Bill (Maryann), Jake (Lillian) and Everett (Pat) Ricks. Also survived by nephew, William D. "Billy" Scharton III; niece, Martha Rable; and numerous other nieces, nephews and friends. Blanche was affectionately known as "Anie" to those who knew her well. She worked several jobs during her adult life, but most of her time was dedicated to being a loving and caring wife, aunt and friend. Blanche was a longtime member of Park Hill Christian Church. She will lie in state at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. today and Friday. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at Park Hill Christian Church, 1401 E. 7th St., with the Rev. Dr. Charlene Nimmo officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Park Hill Christian Church or to Sangre de Cristo Hospice, through the funeral home.

Nellie Rose Iles - Pueblo Chieftain - October 25, 2002 - Nellie Rose Iles passed away Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002, in Clinton, Utah, at her home that she shared with her daughter, Sandra, and John Mulligan. Nellie was born Sept. 16, 1907, in Higginsville, Mo., to Robert Henry and Margaret May (McDonald) Ray. Nellie married David Bradley Iles on Oct. 24, 1925, in Kansas City, Mo. She is survived by her nine children, David (Eileen) Iles and Henry Iles, both of Grand Junction, Colo., Nadine (Gene) Lindberg of Pueblo, Colo., Fay Neifert of Citrus Heights, Calif., JoAnn (Bob) Thompson of Vinal Haven, Maine, June Huddleston of Commerce City, Colo., Jeanie (Dick) Nichols of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Sandra (John) Mulligan of Clinton, Utah, and Jimmie (Sandy) Iles of Pueblo, Colo. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. Nellie was known to many as "Mom Iles." She was preceded in death by her husband, Bradley (Pop) Iles, on Jan. 24, 1967, and also four grandsons. Viewing will be noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2002, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, at Adrian Comer Garden Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Imperial Memorial Gardens.

Mildred G. Ilgenfritz - Pueblo Chieftain - December 05, 2002 - Mildred G. Ilgenfritz, 73. Born Dec. 12, 1929. Departed this life Dec. 2, 2002. Cremation has taken place.

Illich, Barisa
Barisa Illich - Rocky Mountain News – June 3, 1911, Page 5 - Barisa Illich at Pueblo, a steel worker, aged 37, was perhaps fatally shot by an unidentified man with a shotgun. Charles Erwin was placed under arrest an hour later. He admits shooting in the park, but asserted he did not fire at Illich. He shot in the air to frighten off three men. Illich has been unconscious since the shooting and is at the point of death.

Illick, Peter M.
Peter M. Illick - Pueblo Chieftain - May 14, 2004 - Peter M. Illick, Santa Fe, N.M. formerly of Pueblo went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 9, 2004 after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Illick, daughter, Leslie Illick, mother, Catherine Illick, sister Kris (Ted) Lindvay, mother-in-law, Blanche Langowski, sisters and brothers-in-law, Jennie (Angelo) Montez, Beth Dosen, Johnna (Tim) Morgan and nephews and nieces, Henry Montez, Susanne and Samantha Dosen and Cassandra and Nicholas Morgan. He is preceded in death by his father, Ira Illick and his father-in-law, Henry Langowski. Peter was an English professor at the University of Southern Colorado from 1971 until his retirement in 1999. Peter was a poet and honored by the Colorado Council on the Arts for his excellence in poetry. His poetry has been published in multiple journals and anthologies. While at the university he was honored as outstanding faculty member of the year and was instrumental in starting a library in the Canon City prison. He was also a former member and president of the Pueblo Historical Society. He was a commissioned officer in the United States Navy and served his country in Kodiak, Alaska. Pete was a lifelong member of the Sky Corral R/C Club in Pueblo West. During his membership he served as contest director, club president and newsletter editor. He was also a lifelong member of the Academy of Model Aeronautics. His passion and enthusiasm for aviation manifested itself through his outstanding and renowned craftsmanship as a true scratch builder of model airplanes. He also built airfoils for Princeton University aviation research. Peter was a loving and generous husband, father, son, brother and uncle. He was a wonderful teacher and loved by his students. He was the kind of friend who was cherished by those fortunate enough to know him and lucky enough to enjoy his original wit and an unforgettable sense of humor. Robert Frost said, "We love the things we love for what they are." Peter's memory will be loved and treasured in our hearts forever. A memorial service is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2004. The service will be at the First Church of the Nazarene at 84 Stanford located at the corner of Stanford and Northern Avenue. Dear friend Sally Foulks will lead the memorial service. Family will receive guests following the service at the Mozart immediately following the service.

Imboden, Frank W.
Frank W. Imboden - Wray Rattler - January 04, 1917 - Born, Wedded, Died, on Christmas - The 25th of December – Christmas Day – has been the birthday, wedding day, and dying day of one Pueblo man. The Rev. Frank W. Imboden, pastor of the Northern Avenue Methodist church, died after a week's illness with double pneumonia. The day was his fifty-ninth birthday and the thirty-seventh anniversary of his marriage. A celebration of the wedding anniversary had been planned but was prevented by his illness.

Imhof, Violet M.
Violet M. Imhof - Pueblo Chieftain - June 25, 2006 - Violet M. Imhof died peacefully at age 94 in Indianapolis, Ind., on June 19, 2006 after a brief illness. She was a long time Pueblo West resident who was known to many as the Candy Grandma for her habit of bestowing little hard candy mints on people who seemed to need cheering up. She said that she gave them to "good boys and girls" which, by her definition, included anyone under the age of 60. Retired at 84 from a part-time position at San Isabel Electric Association, she was active in the local SCORE chapter and a volunteer with services to the aged. She was married for 63 years to John Imhof who preceded her in death. She was the beloved mother of Violet I. Meek (Don M. Dell), John R. (Bette) Imhof, and Richard H. (Nancy) Imhof, the grandmother of six and the great-grandmother of seven. Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Pueblo on Tuesday, June 27, 2006. The family requests that any memorials be made to Tabor Lutheran Church to the scholarship fund in honor of John Imhof. Local arrangements are being handled by Roselawn Cemetery and Funeral Home.

Immel, Harry W.
Harry W. Immel - Pueblo Chieftain - November 27, 2002 - Harry W. Immel, 84. Born Dec., 17, 1917, passed away Nov. 24, 2002. Survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Nina Immel; children, Jerald (Jane), Ralph (Mary Lue) and Karen K. (Art) Bernal; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Harry was an avid outdoorsman and well-known businessman as well as a very caring person who will be sadly missed by family and friends. Visitation, 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, Roselawn Chapel. Millie M. Immroth - Pueblo Chieftain - October 17, 1986 - Mrs. Millie M. Immroth, 92, of Colorado Springs, formerly of Pueblo, passed away Oct. 15, 1986. Survived by her daughter, Mrs. Beatrice M. (Clifford E.) Shackelford, Colorado Springs; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Illa Mae Immroth, Denver; one sister, one brother, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, Henry J. Immroth, on March 15, 1965, and son, Vernon H. Immroth, on June 20, 1985. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Mountain View Cemetery with the Rev. Edward Paup officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or the Pueblo County Heart Unit, direct or through the funeral home office. She will lie in state Sunday until 8:30 p.m.

Impy, Stephen D.
Stephen D. Impy – Leadville Carbonate Chronicle – September 8, 1913 – Funeral of Stephen Impy – The remains of Stephen D. Impy were interred in the Evergreen cemetery yesterday afternoon beside the grave of his brother, who was buried there several years ago. The funeral services were held at the chapel of the Moynahan and O'Malia Undertaking company at 2 o'clock. Impy died Thursday at the insane asylum at Pueblo where he had been an inmate for several years. At one time he was a barber here at the corner of Harrison avenue and State street. One sister, Mrs. R. M. Ball, is known to survive him. Carbonate Chronicle – September 8, 1913 – Death of Steve Impy – Steve Impy, an inmate of the insane asylum at Pueblo, who at one time was a barber here at the corner of State street and Harrison avenue, died at the asylum yesterday. His sister, Mrs. R. M. Ball, wired Coroner O'Malia that his remains will be shipped to Leadville for burial. The body is expected to reach here this morning. Private funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 o'clock at the Moynahan and O'Malia Undertaking company chapel.

Incerto, Leona M.
Leona M. Incerto - Pueblo Chieftain - February 28, 1998 - Leona M. Incerto, born April 11, 1922, passed away Feb. 27, 1998. Preceded in death by her husband, Louis Incerto Sr., in 1988, and son, Dennis Buck" Incerto, Oct. 24, 1994. Survived by children, Louis Buzz" (Patsy) Incerto, Josephine Laird and Dennis Garcia, Kathy (Chuck) Martinez, Carolyn Pechak and Bob Capps- and daughter-in-law, Darla Incerto, all of Pueblo- and brother and sisters, John (Frances) Arguello, Cecilia Sands and Dolores (Joe) Trujillo, also of Pueblo. Also preceded in death by mother, Mary Arguello- father, Flory- sister, Edna Gutierrez- brothers, John Rendon and Floyd Rendon- granddaughter, Marie Ann Incerto- and great-grandson, Shon Tres Martinez. Also survived by 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Incerto was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish, Pueblo Aerie 145 Ladies Auxiliary (FOE), active in AARP and the Democratic Party and a volunteer instructor at John Neumann School. Incitti, Angelo
Angelo "Spraggs" Incitti - Pueblo Chieftain - December 15, 2001 - Angelo "Spraggs" Incitti, 73, born Jan. 13, 1928, in Sopris, Colo., went to build mansions in Heaven on Dec. 12, 2001. A master carpenter, respected by everyone in his trade, as a skilled craftsman. Retired from School District No. 60. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Francis Incitti; sister, Mary Jane; children, Jack and Michelle; as well as many other loved ones. Survived by his wife, Patricia Incitti; children, Terry Baker, "Randy" (Lana) Baker, Ron (Ruby) Incitti, Todd (Tracie) Baker, Jeff (Joie) Baker, Joseph (Andrea) Incitti, Julie (Frank) Donley and Patty (Kenny) Padilla; numerous loved grandchildren; brothers, Sam (Pat) Incitti, Corky (Faye) Incitti, Domenic (Cathy) Incitti and Joseph (Shirley) Incitti; sister, Angie (Binda) Cunico; and nephews and nieces. No newspaper name or date - Baby Found On La Veta Road - A new-born baby was found buried in a grave about two and a half inches deep Monday afternoon by Onofre Romero. Romero was out hunting on the old La Veta road where it goes over the hill at Mutual and noticed the fresh dirt and dug into it with his hands and found the baby. The baby has recently been buried as car tracks were still clear around the grave.

Inge, Mary Elizabeth
Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Guthrie Inge - Pueblo Chieftain - July 30, 2004 -Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Guthrie Inge, 94, longtime La Junta resident, passed away July 29, 2004. She was born Jan. 25, 1910, in Oswega, N.Y., to William and Louise Guthrie. She and her late husband, Reuben, owned and operated the Inge Shoe Store for over 30 years. Betty was very active in various organizations and civic events. She is survived by daughters, Nancy Baker of La Junta and Sally (David J.) Buikema of Alexandria, Va; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and three sisters. Funeral Mass, 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 2, at Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish with Father Paul Montez officiating.

Ingham, Lucile M.
Lucile M. Ingham - Pueblo Chieftain - August 22, 1987 - Lucile M. Ingham passed away Friday, Aug. 21, 1987. Survived by her sister, Helen R. Mercer, Pueblo; nieces, Marilyn Mercer and Pauline Carter, both of Decatur, Ill. Predeceased by a brother, Edward H. Mercer, in 1965. Born Oct. 9, 1905, in Chicago, Ill., and had been a Pueblo resident since 1974. Member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church and Chapter P, PEG, in Illinois. There will be no viewing or visitation. Cremation at the Rouch Crematorium. Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Penthouse of the Villa Pueblo Towers, 1111 Bonforte, with the Rev. James Keesey officiating.

Bessie P. (Musso) Ingo - Pueblo Chieftain - October 21, 2001 - Bessie P. (Musso) Ingo went to be with her Lord on Oct. 19, 2001. She was born Feb. 14, 1909, in Pueblo. Bessie was married on Nov. 10, 1929, to Tony Ingo; they had three loving children. She is survived by her daughter, Rose Roderick; and her son, Sam (Dorothy) Ingo; sister, Ann Massarotti; and a brother, Dominic (Frances) Musso; 14 grandchildren, Betty (Ted) Roop, Bob Roderick, Phyllis (Don) Montoya, Tony (Barb) Roderick, Joe Roderick, Anthony (Gail) Ingo, Rick (Jerri Lynn) Ingo, Sam (Kriste) Ingo, Beth (Jim) Rider, Mary (Kerry) Sabott, Brenda (Bob) Smith, Chris (Pete) Elich, Janette (Ed) Reinert and Janelle Hinds; 26 great-grandchildren, Russ (Amy) Roop, Ted (Renee) Roop, Kristin Montoya, Syvanna and Laci Roderick, A.J. and Nona Ingo, Austin Wallingford, Brice and Tyler Ingo, Sam III, Chad, Lane and Tuff Ingo, Giovanni, Gianna, Sammi Jo, and Robin Rider, Brent and Kerri Sabott, Tiffany, Colby and Nico Smith, Jericca and Jacob Elich, and Hunter Reinert; two great-great-grandchildren, Lloyd and Jake Roop; sisters-in-law, Ann and Ida Musso; stepson, Albert Mendicello; and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her a great deal. Bessie lived at her home by herself doing everything on her own until last month when an infection got the best of her health. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Tony; her loving daughter, Ruth Hinds; sons-in-law, Al Hinds and Bob Roderick; parents, Rose and John Musso; and siblings, Virginia Colletti, Rose Dazzio, Sam, Charles, John, Pete, Joe and Tommy Musso; and stepdaughter, Florence Mendicello. Bessie was employed by School District No. 70 in food service until her retirement in 1974. For over 12 years, Bessie baked cookies and candies for any special occasion and designed immaculate wedding cakes for numerous young couples. She is famous in Pueblo for all the St. Joseph Tables she made and assisted in making. She loved flowers, gardening and shopping until a broken hip slowed her down. She then found a new favorite pastime, word search puzzles to which she mastered over 100 a week. Bessie was a member of St. Joseph Church in Blende, the St. Theresa Society Lodge and the Eagles Auxiliary No. 145. Bessie will lie in state on Monday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a rosary to follow at George McCarthy Historic Chapel at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Tuesday, St. Joseph Church. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery.

Ingo, Carl Frank
Carl Frank "Kelly" Ingo - Pueblo Chieftain - May 16, 2004 - Carl Frank "Kelly" Ingo, 88, passed away May 14, 2004. Survived by his wife, Mary, of 67 years; son, Fred (Arlene); grandsons, Mike and Marc (Wendi); and great-grandson, Cody. Other survivors include sisters, Rose Maurello and Sara (Tony) La Savio; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Carl was preceded in death by his brother, Sam Ingo. A lifetime St. Charles Mesa resident and farmer, Carl was employed by CF&I for 44 years and retired as a foreman from the grader blade department. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and most recently, great-grandfather. Carl enjoyed fishing and gardening. He took great pride in his garden and was happy sharing his crops with friends and relatives. Carl also enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and Cripple Creek. Most of all, Carl enjoyed spending time with family and friends, but was happiest when he was able to help others with gardening and landscaping concerns. In his words, "If you have time to do something, you have time to do it right the first time." As a dedicated farmer, gardener and CF&I employee, he passed on a strong work ethic to everyone he came into contact with. During the past few years, Carl dedicated much time and energy into caring for his wife. Viewing, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home. The murder car, a Hudson coach with curtains drawn, passed slowly in front of the pool hall where the Danna brothers were standing, and shot from sawed-off shotguns cut the brothers down before they had time to draw their own weapons. Doctors in attendance stated that both of the men had received from 30 to 40 shot, the bodies being literally torn to pieces from the heavy charge. Their brother, John, was killed in July, 1925, in an alleged blackhand killing but no arrest had ever been made in that case. The two killed yesterday were said to be leaders of the same faction as Frank Bacino, murdered in Denver a short time ago. Pete Danna was out on $10,000 bond in connection with the notorious black hand battle near Baxter, Colo., in September, 1922, in which John Ingo, Dominio Ingo and Charles Carlino were killed. Carlino was a brother of Sam Carlino, one of the four men Pete Danna alleged to have been in the automobile from which the shooting was done Wednesday.

Elizabeth A. Ingo - Pueblo Chieftain - July 20, 2003 - Elizabeth A. Ingo, 83, of Pueblo, went home to be with the Lord on July 19, 2003. Born on Sept. 29, 1919, in Salida, Colo., the youngest of the 10 children of Louis and Teresa Manguso, both now deceased. Survived by her three children, Jim Towns and Sam (Shari) Ingo of Pueblo and Phyllis (Jon) Avalos of Castle Rock. She was married to James E. Towns until his death in 1949, and then to Sam S. Ingo, until his death in 1999. Her brother, Tony Manguso; and her sister, Margaret Cabibi reside in Pueblo. Her sisters-in-law, Josephine (Tom) Pomeleo, Vivian (Carmen) Arrigo and Kathryn Dunkel; and her brother-in-law, Anthony (Francis) Ingo all reside in Pueblo. She has four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She goes to join her deceased sisters, Anna Brothers, Sister Rose Catherine, Jessie Alexander and Jennie Elich; and her deceased brothers, Louis Manguso, Ralph Manguso and Felix Manguso. She was a lifetime member of St. Francis Xavier Parish of Pueblo. Viewing, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday. Mary Mercede Delliquadri Ingo - Pueblo Chieftain - December 3, 2006 - Mary Mercede Delliquadri Ingo, 92, passed away Nov. 30, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Frank Ingo; and her parents, Sebastian and Rosina Delliquadri. She was born on March 19, 1914, in Pueblo. Survived by her son, Fred (Arlene) Ingo; grandsons, Michael (Shawndee), and Marc (Wendi); and great-grandsons, Cody Ryan and Caden Michael. Other survivors are her sister, Lucy (Frank) Colletti; sisters-in-law, Rose Maurello, and Sara (Tony) La Savio; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her brothers, Ralph Delliquadri, Joe (Mary) Delliquadri and Tony (Josie) Delliquadri; and sisters, Angelina (Frank) Soldano, Carlina (John) Catulli and Florence (Les) Silvio. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, needlepoint and other crafts. She made many beautiful items for family and friends until declining health made this impossible. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mary was an excellent cook and baker, always making cookies, cakes and pies and often sharing them with friends. Friends and family were always welcome and no one ever left hungry, as she always insisted on preparing a meal. In later life, she found a new love, her cat, Elizabeth, that became her constant companion. During the last two years she was able to live at home with the loving assistance of caregivers. They became a second family for her. Included are, Edwina Rogers, Darla Haught, Shirley Cervantes, Nancy Dittmore, Mary and Dr. John Gentry, Lisa Kovicich and Debbie Rich. Edwina's sons, Ardin and Elwin, became her adopted grandchildren. A special thanks goes to the Sangre de Cristo Hospice and Palliative Care, and to Pete Massaro, her Eucharistic minister, who brought many weeks and months of peace and happiness. Sam was a member of the American Legion Post No. 203 after serving four years in the United States Army during World War II. After returning from the war, he became a meat cutter for several local stores until his retirement at which time he was able to tend to the garden he loved. Survived by his father, Sam (Kriste) Ingo, Jr. of Pueblo; mother, Rhonda (Jim) Bowie of Pueblo West; stepfather, William Flynn; grandparents, Sam and Dorothy Ingo of Pueblo, Pat and Patty Delin of Pueblo West, Mark and Yvonne Klune and Gene and Darlene Ley, all of Pueblo; twin brother, Chad (Allegra) Ingo of Pueblo West; his other siblings, Brandi Flynn of Pueblo West, Lane Ingo, Tuff Ingo and Bailey Ingo, all of Pueblo, and Ashley Flynn of Pueblo West; uncles and aunts, Rick and Jerri Ingo and Beth Rider, all of Pueblo, Jim and Linda Delin and Edward Delin, all of Des Moines, Iowa, and Raymond Delin of Sioux City, Iowa; great-grandmother, Leota Delin of Des Moines; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Iva Leonardelli Ingram - Pueblo Chieftain - February 29, 2004 - Iva Leonardelli Ingram died in a Colorado Springs hospital on Feb. 24, 2004. She was born in Ottawa, Ill., to Lloyd Earl and Willard Iva Thompson on May 10, 1920. She lived also in Decatur, Ill., and Pueblo, Colo., before moving to Colorado Springs with her husband, William Ingram, M.D., in 1971. She served as his office manager until her death. For a number of years, Mrs. Ingram was employed by the Tempo Stores and was one of their premier managers and salespersons in the furniture and interior design departments in the 1960s. She won numerous awards for her sales skills. Mrs. Ingram enjoyed Southwestern Indian arts and crafts and knew many artists and their families, even to the third generation. At one time, she was active in the Medical Society Alliance and set a record for recruiting members. Mrs. Ingram is survived by her husband, her sister, Barbara Griffiths of Urbana, Ill.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was beloved for her kindness and thoughtfulness and will be missed by her family and friends. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. - Pueblo Chieftain - February 29, 2004, at Swan-Law Funeral Home. Sam Ingram - Aspen Tribune - May 20, 1896 - Died At The Asylum – Sam Ingram, Sent From This County Passes Away – Sheriff Strawbridge received a dispatch last evening from the asylum authorities at Pueblo announcing the death of Sam Ingram, a patient sent from this county. No particulars were given. Ingram was a miner and occupied a cabin near the head of Galena street. He lived a lonesome life and imagined that a mine (of) great richness existed beneath the cabin. He was committed by Judge Rogers of the county court last week. Aspen Weekly Times – May 23, 1896 – Death of Samuel Ingram – It was reported late last night that Sheriff Strawbridge had received a telegram from Pueblo, announcing the death of Samuel Ingram, of this city who was adjudged insane and sent to the asylum of that city last week.

Jacquelyn "Jackie" Beverly Ingram-Ferguson - Pueblo Chieftain - February 05, 2005 - Jacquelyn "Jackie" Beverly Ingram-Ferguson, 76, was taken by her angels to be with her Lord on Feb. 3, 2005. Jackie enjoyed life to its fullest and always managed to find joy and laughter even in the worst situations. Though life handed her many obstacles, she overcame them with enthusiasm and determination. Jackie now is dancing and singing with the angels and is free of pain. Survived by her children, Sandra Sue Lappen, Pamela Jean (Arthur Frank) Vogel and Doyle Donald (Teresa Ann) Painter; grandchildren, Angela Thomas, Troy Zurel, Donald Painter, Jacquelyn Painter and Cynthia Painter; and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Troy Harold Ingram; parents, Otto and Minnie Strehlow; two brothers; and two sisters. Jacquelyn was born Oct. 16, 1928, in Denver, and was a credit investigator for Citi Corp. She was a member of the Bennett Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star Dawn Chapter 125 in Aurora and We Are Singles of Pueblo. John B. "Happy Jack" Inman – Pueblo Colorado Weekly Chieftain – November 18, 1875 – Parties just from Lake City, report Happy Jack, of Oak Creek, killed. Some trouble arose between Jack and another party, in which Jack received two pistol balls. The other party is seriously wounded. Pueblo County Daily Chieftain – November 18, 1875 – The Shooting of Happy Jack – A Tragedy on the Upper Arkansas – Mr. Joe Abrams, who has just returned from a hunting expedition on the Upper Arkansas, gives us the following particulars of the murder of John B. Inman, formerly of Donophan, Kansas, better known on the Upper Arkansas country as "Happy Jack," which occurred on Saturday, the 30th of October, last: Mr. Abrams states that he in company with Messrs. Dorsey and McCreary, went up the Arkansas on a hunting expedition, and in a small gulch about two miles from the Arkansas river, near Pleasant Valley, came to the camp of John R. Hall, better known as "Arkansas," who, according to his custom for the past three or four years, had located there to hunt during the winter. At the camp was also "Happy Jack," who was Hall's partner in the winter's hunt, and a man named Maguire, better known as "Missouri," of whom Hall had purchased a wagon, harness and mule, paying him forty dollars in cash and promising to pay eighty dollars additional in venison, having four weeks time in which to deliver the latter. After Mr. Abrams and party had been in camp a short time, they found that Maguire was distrustful of Hall, and after talking with Inman and finding the latter would stand by him, told Hall that he (Maguire) was afraid he (Hall) would cheat him out of his team, and wanted his outfit back. Hall told him he could take back his outfit or remain and get his venison, just as he liked. During this time Inman had been pretty full of whisky, and Hall remonstrated with him, telling him that if he intended to be his partner in the winter's hunt he must keep sober. This enraged Inman, and from Thursday until Saturday morning he did his best to get Hall to fight, insulting him in every way. Hall avoided the fight and allowed Inman to say just what he chose without resenting it. On Saturday morning Inman and Maguire concluded to leave the camp, and the latter went for his remaining mule, while the former took charge of the wagon and went to dividing the provisions with Hall. During the division, while Hall was kneeling on the ground, Inman tried to draw his knife, but Hall seeing the movement, jumped quickly up, and drawing his revolver, said: "Jack, we've had enough of this. You have tried to get a fight out of me for several days. Now if you must and will fight, go to the wagon and get your pistol and we'll fight it out." Inman went to the wagon and after fumbling about in it a while, returned without his pistol, shook hands with Hall, and taking his share of the provisions went down the gulch towards his wagon. About this time Mr. Abrams, who had been temporarily absent from camp, returned and was sitting in front of the tent with Hall, the latter telling him that Inman and Maguire were going away. Just then Mr. Abrams noticed Inman coming towards them and remarked the fact to Hall. Inman came up in front of them, and placing one hand against a tree, remarked that he had come for those things he left. Hall, without getting up, reaching into the tent and handed out a pair of blankets, a coat, and some other articles. Just as Hall laid the last article out, Inman drew his pistol and calling out, "Die, you s-n of a b---h!" shot at Hall. Hall dodged and sprang to his feet drawing his revolver. Both parties stood behind trees and fired three shots each, Hall's last shot striking Inman between the eyes. Hall immediately went for a doctor, and on his return on Sunday, found Inman alive, though unconscious. The wounded man died at twelve o'clock the same night. Hall immediately went with the remainder of the party to Ula, in the Wet Mountain Valley, where after a hearing before Justice Davis, he was discharged. This case is another evidence of the fact that men who are so exceedingly anxious to find a fight generally succeed in finding one, usually to their sorrow.

Inman, Moses
Moses Inman - Basalt Journal - November 9, 1907 - Frank Loughmiller pleaded guilty to murder in the second degree in the District Court at Trinidad and was sentenced to the penitentiary for fifteen to twenty years. Loughmiller shot and killed Moses Inman Oct. 14th at Weston. He was crazed with drink at the time and claimed to have no recollection of his act the following day. The men quarreled over a livery bill of 70 cents.

She was born on Aug. 24, 1929, to Wilson and Mildred Biegert, in Shickley, Neb. Survived by her husband, Harry Inskeep; daughter, Jeannette (Ken) Jones, Longmont; four grandchildren, Kenny and Sheridan Jones, Grant and Megan Inskeep; special daughter, Diana Inskeep, Conifer; and four nephews. Preceded in death by her first husband, Jerry Novak in 1983; and sister, Fern Gent in 1997. In 1967, Dorothea moved to Pueblo to work at the Pueblo Depot following the Sioux Depot closure. Mrs. Alva H. Ireland - Wray Rattler - November 25, 1915 - Woman Ends Life in Depot - Caρon City – Disappointed because she had missed her train to Pueblo. Mrs. Alva H. Ireland, 50 took a seat next to a little girl in the crowded Santa Fe waiting room here, drew a .38-caliber revolver and shot herself through the head. She died in a few minutes.

Thomas Iron - Colorado Daily Chieftain – August 24, 1875 - Thomas Iron was killed at the Summit district, San Juan, on Tuesday last, while working in the Del Norte tunnel. It appears that he was tamping a blast, when it exploded, instantly killing him and severely wounding a Mexican, who happened to be in the tunnel at the time.

Irons, Earl W.
Earl W. Irons - Mullare-Murphy Funeral Home – May 27, 2003 - Earl W. Irons passed away May 13, 2003 at the age of 84, at Trinidad State Nursing Home. He was born in Swastika, NM on January 12, 1919 to William and Hazel (Conn) Irons. Earl attended elementary schools in Trinidad and Trinidad High School. He was a truck driver and entered the U.S. Army in 1941. Earl received a Good Conduct Medal and Bronze Service Arrowhead for participating in the initial attack of the Southern Philippine Campaign. He also received four Bronze Battle Stars for participation in East Indies, Papua, New Guinea and South Philippine campaigns. Earl was honorably discharged May 21, 1945. After his enlistment, Earl worked for the State Highway Department and numerous trucking firms in Wyoming and Colorado until his affiliation with Star Texaco Oil Company where he spent many years until his retirement. Earl was united in marriage to Dorothy (Kerby) Jones on September 5, 1954 in Trinidad, Colo. His wife Dorothy passed away in September of 2000 and he was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Bob and Russell Irons, and sister Lucille Van Arsdale. Survivors include stepchildren Helen (John) Veltri, Don (Irene) Jones and Roberta Jones, four grandchildren Bruce (Diane) Veltri, Cindy Rhoads, Shelly Jones and Greg (Kerry) Jones, 8 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters Margaret Lea, Bertha (Jim) Hestiuman, Dorothy Irons and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Service for Earl will be held on Friday, May 16, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church, 200 S. Walnut, Trinidad, Colo. with Pastor Cary Nelson officiating. Irwin, Lester
Lester Irwin - Yampa Leader - May 25, 1907 - Pueblo - While hunting on the Goodnight ranch, three miles west of here, Lester Irwin, fourteen years old, son of Mrs. James Massey of 712 East Abriendo Avenue, was mortally wounded by his own shotgun, which was accidentally discharged while he was climbing a fence. The charge struck him in the face, neck and chest, and he died two hours later at St. Mary's hospital. Young Irwin, accompanied by two other boys, left Pueblo to spend a few hours hunting along the Arkansas River. He had sighted game in the field and was climbing over a fence when the hammer of his gun struck a post and the gun was discharged, sending the entire discharge into his body.

Michael Irwin - Huerfano World – July 27, 2006 – Third Suicide – La Veta suffered its third suicide in three weeks with the death of Michael Irwin, 44. Irwin was the owner of Cuchara Valley Glass. Irwin recently went through a divorce and moved to Stonewall in Las Animas County. According to the Las Animas coroner, Irwin died approximately July 15, and his body was found on July 19. The week before, Jack Britton ended his life while in the last stages of cancer, and the week before that, Leonard "Chip" Jones ended his at home. The odds of three people killing themselves in three weeks from a town of less than 1,000 residents is very small. According to a CDC government website, the probability of suicide for any given person is 0.000046. The probability of one suicide in a town of 1,000 is 1-0.0000461 * (1-0.000046) 999, or 0.0044 percent, and the probability of three suicides in a town of 1,000 are 0.0000463 * (1-0.000046) 997, or 0.00000000001 percent, or 1 percent * 1011.

He had been a resident of Pueblo since 1941. Earl Isaac was born Dec. 12, 1915, to Clarence and Dessie Isaac in Mildred, Kan. He left the farm to come to this area for the drier climate, working at local dairies and eventually retiring after 36 years with CF&I. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and camping with the Pueblo Good Sam Clubs. He was active in his church, previous Faith United Methodist church, as head usher. He was active with delivering Meals On Wheels. Earl was an avid family man who always put the needs of others before his own. He was predeceased by his parents; two sisters, Euleta and Margaret; his first wife of 25 years, Mildred Pauline Davis; an infant son, Ronald Earl Isaac; an infant granddaughter, Michelle Reeves; his second wife of 32 years, Phyllis Jacqueline Green; and his third wife of six years, Simone Clarice Foreman; four brothers and a sister survive him, Art (Pauline) Isaac of Mountain Home, Idaho, Bill Isaac of Greenfield, Mo., Don (Dorene) Isaac of Iola, Kan., Larry (Carolyn) Isaac of Lamar, Mo., and Elaine Page of Iola, Kan. Robbins and Dollie Perle Johnson Robbins in Louisville, Neb. She came to Colorado in 1945 with her parents; brothers, Kenneth and Ivan; sisters, Lola and Dolores; and fiancι, Gerald. On Dec. 26, 1946, she and Gerald were married in Vernal, Utah. They lived in Rangely and Wiley, Colo., before settling in Pueblo. Gerald and Lila were both graduates of the Licensed Senior Psychiatric Technician program and worked 30 years in that capacity at the Colorado State Hospital. Their many loving and loved friends were co-workers at CSH. Lila's lifetime focus was her family, and her interests all revolved around the family. She loved living the farm life with Gerald in Crowley from 1962 to 1991. She loved gardening, canning, sewing, crocheting, churning butter, working on the land and with the animals. Lila was known by family and friends for her great cooking-especially 'made from scratch' apple pie, homemade egg noodles with roast and mashed potatoes and her special chocolate Karen's cake. Her joy and passion (along with Gerald) were her grandchildren. The families traveled together to many places including Canada, Seattle, Yellowstone, Disney, California, Washington D.C., to name a few, and her most recent trips to Granbury, Texas, for a family Christmas, then to Louisiana and Florida in May 2003, to meet up with her beloved grandson, Steve. She rarely missed an activity of the grandchildren. Whether it was births, graduations, school programs, weddings, ball games, swimming lessons, band/choir concerts, open houses, parties, ROTC events and especially hundreds of tennis matches, Grandpa and Grandma Isaac were always there. Lila leaves many friends and relatives including her two sisters, Dolores Lewis of Missouri, and Lola (Paul) Feldhaus of Washington; and many nieces and nephews. She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen M. Christian and Karen L. Heist; son-in-law, Bill E. Heist; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. They are Sean (Tammy) Christian, and Shelby and Shanna, Kelly (Ron) Vollmering, and Scarlett and Tristan, Tara (Tom) Ordish, Eryn (Reginia) Christian, and Ian, Tammy (Wade) Clark, and Cheyenne, and Steven C. Heist. The family extends special thanks for the many prayers, phone calls, and cards sent to Lila during her illness. They gave her great joy. Viewing will be noon to 5 p.m. today; and funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13, 2003, both to be held at Adrian Comer Garden Chapel. Interment will follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens.

Simone C. Isaac - Pueblo Chieftain - May 10, 2003 - Simone C. Isaac passed away May 8, 2003, in Pueblo. Simone was born in Aberdeen, Idaho, on Feb. 24, 1913, and had lived in Pueblo since 1986. She was an accomplished seamstress and an active member of Sonrise United Methodist Church. Simone was preceded in death by a husband, Guy Foreman, in 1982. She is survived by her husband, Earl Isaac; children, Phyllis (Al) Bray, Edwin VanDerPas, Elsie (Wayne) Henderson, Sharon (Bob) Giese; a brother, Don (Arlene) Roberts; a sister, Joanne Morris; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Isaac will lie in state at the mortuary on Sunday from noon until 5 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2003, in the Davis Memorial Chapel. Cremation will follow. Isbell, George T.
George T. Isbell - Colorado Daily Chieftain – August 20, 1876 - Whisky And Laudanum – Suicide of George T. Isbell – On Saturday last, George T. Isbell, late of Atchison, Kansas, came to this city. He applied for work at this office and on Monday was set to work as a compositor on the Chieftain. His behavior seemed a little singular, but it was charged to the infirmity of the craft, too much whisky, and but little attention was paid to his queer ways. He was a good compositor, and as long as he was busy at his work had nothing to say to anybody, except to ask necessary questions of his fellow workers. On Wednesday last he seemed to be impressed with the idea that he was about to be arrested for some crime, and talked about what he would do in case he were arrested, saying that he would not be taken alive, etc. On Thursday afternoon he came into the sanctum and told the writer of this article that he had come to Pueblo from Atchison on a railroad pass issued on account of the Inter-Ocean newspaper, and thought that he was about to be arrested for so doing. He seemed to be of the opinion that some of the railroad men were in the business office at that time arranging for his arrest. He stated also that he has been drinking heavily previous to his leaving Atchison. On all other subjects save this one he seemed perfectly sane, and showed no appearance of any inclination to be at all violent. We told him that he need be under no apprehension of being arrested, that the matter was a small one and that he was in no serious danger. He seemed satisfied and returned to his work, apparently much relieved. He had not been drinking at the time. On the same evening he went to see Mr. Bradley, agent of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe, who assured him that the matter was all right and that he was in no danger, whatever, of arrest. On Friday afternoon he again became restless and went out several times. About dark in the evening he went into the residence of Mr. R. Sherman, on Eighth street, and told that gentleman that he had purchased an ounce of laudanum and had swallowed it. He said he was going to be arrested, and asked for materials to write his wife. Mr. Sherman gave him paper and a pencil, and in the meantime sent for a doctor. Isbell then wrote the following: Pueblo, Col. August 18, 1876 – My Dear Wife and Darling Jessie: - I am to be arrested for using a pass James Montandon gave me. Good bye. God bless you. George – Mrs. G.T. Isbell, Atchison, Kansas. After writing this letter, he expressed a desire to lie down, which he did on a lounge in the room. Mr. Sherman told him not to give up in that manner, and the messenger returning with the news that the doctor sent for was not at home, Mr. Sherman and a neighbor raised Isbell up and proceeded to walk him down to the drug store of Drs. Clutter and Richardson. The aid of Policemen Bilby and Royer was called in, and the unfortunate man was kept stirring around. A galvanic battery was also applied, as well as sub-cutaneous injections of atropine. The patient objected strongly to the treatment, but the doctors and their assistants worked manfully to overcome the effects of the poison. All efforts, however, were in vain, and the unfortunate man died about six o'clock in the morning. His relatives in Atchison were immediately notified by telegraph. The deceased had been a compositor on the Atchison Champion for the past two years and was well known to the craft in that section of country. He had at one time been a local writer on some the Leavenworth papers and also on the Lincoln, Neb., Journal. He was apparently about thirty-five years of age. Nothing having been heard from the friends of the deceased his body was buried in the public cemetery yesterday afternoon. The cause of his death was so apparent that the coroner considered an inquest unnecessary.

Husband of Eleanor Isele, who preceded him in death on Feb. 25, 1992. He is survived by his daughters, Judith M. (Tony W. "Butch") Wodishek, Pueblo, Dianne M. (Jimmy D., deceased) Newbill, Silt, Sheri A. Isele, Lafayette, and Mary I. (Wayne A.) Overby, Fort Collins, Colo. Grandfather of Mark Wodishek, Christina, Bonnie (Jay Bonser), and Matthew Newbill, Tim and Katie Langhart, and Joey and Kenny Overby. Also survived by great-grandson, Andrew Bonser; brother, John W. (Mary E.) Isele, W. Memphis, Ark.; and stepsisters, Elizabeth "Liz" Morgan, Louisiana, and Martha Tennant of Florida. Preceded in death also by his sister, Shirley Watts. Mr. Isele was a veteran of World War II, having served with the 5th Army Air Corps, 90th B.G. as a navigator. He worked for 40 years with Southern Colorado Power and CENTEL, retiring in January 1986, as manager of engineering. He was a member of the 90th B.G. Association, the 5th Air Force Memorial Association, a life member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and of the Power Engineering Society. He also was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Ecclesia Dei Latin Mass Community, Fountain. Recitation of the rosary, 7 p.m. Wednesday, and funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Thursday, both services at St. Mary Church. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery with military honors by the Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team. Isely, Thomas
Thomas "Tommy" Isely - Pueblo Chieftain - June 29, 2005 - Thomas "Tommy" Isely, born Aug. 15, 1946, died of heart complications on Sunday, June 26, 2005, in Alamosa, Colo. At the time of his death, Tommy was a resident at Spencer House in Alamosa, and under the thoughtful care of Valley Hospice Services. A friend to all whom he met, Tommy spent his short life with friends and family in New York, New Jersey and Colorado. He is survived by sisters, Renee Isely Tobin, of Stamford, Conn., Jane Isely Kircher, of Jaroso, Colo., Catherine Isely, of Magog, Canada, and Lisa Binsee of Montreal, Canada; and brothers, Jeter Isely, of Wayne, Pa., and Peter Binsee, of Montreal, Canada. Tommy's parents preceded him in death, in 1954, and 1957. Tommy was a patient of Dr. Bruno Bettelheim, of Chicago, but spent his happiest years with his sisters' homes in Denver, and Alamosa. All who knew Tommy felt his warmth and sincere friendship. While more a child in his development, Tommy could, and would talk to anyone and made friends on airlines, in religious communities, and among a variety of police departments. He had a special fondness for monkeys and teen-aged drivers. The highlight of Tommy's year was his birthday party on August 15th. This was occasionally celebrated four or five times in a summer to accommodate the arrival of family and guests who could number up to 100, depending upon how many of his 5,200 girl friends appeared for the occasion. He will be buried next to his parents in Green Mount Cemetery in Baltimore. A memorial service/birthday party will be held at Spencer House later this summer. Preceded in death by her father, Wendell Beach; mother, Honey Glee Beach; and granddaughter, Kayleigh Musso. She was born in Iowa Falls, Iowa, on June 27, 1930. Beverly was a member of Delta Gamma and P.E.O Chapter CI. She was active in politics and served on the Colorado State Hospital Auxiliary, Bel-Nor Republican Women, Easter Seals Board, Service League, Junior League, American Red Cross, Ascension Episcopal Church, P.T.A. and Belmont Swim Club. Kathryn M. "Katy" Isenhour - Pueblo Chieftain - November 22, 1991 - Kathryn M. "Katy" Isenhour, 104 died Sunday at Belmont Lodge, where she resided the past eight years. Born July 31, 1887, in Decatur, Ill. Her family moved to Crawford, Neb. where she lived until she married Clarence E. Isenhour, on Nov. 23, 1911. The couple made their home in Scottsbluff, Neb., where he was an agent for Midwest Life Insurance Co. Katy moved to Pueblo 1982. Mrs. Isenhour is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years; her son, Eugene; and four sisters. She is survived by her son, Jack (Beverly) Isenhour; grandchildren, Kathi (Greg) Musso, Steve Isenhour, Mark Isenhour, and Terri Hardy, also survived by several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 1991, at Benson-Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff, Neb. Interment, Fairview Cemetery, Scottsbluff. Lorinda Isley - Huerfano World - March 26, 1992 - Lorinda Isley, 84, of Kingman, KS, died Mar. 17,1992, in Community Hospital in that city. Born Oct. 21, 1907, in Triol, Austria, she was a Kingman resident for most of her life. She was a retired nurse's aide. She married Dewey L. Isley in Pueblo in 1925. He died in 1952. Survivors include a son, Robert, Daly City, CA; a daughter, Marjorie Kinsler, Kingman; three sisters, Milly Morris, Walsenburg; Irma Collier, Kansas City, MO, and Mary Wilhelms, Wilmington, CA; and two grandchildren. Funeral service was Mar. 19 in Kingman. Burial was in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Kingman.

Al Isringhausen - Pueblo Chieftain - December 18, 1998 - Al Isringhausen, 65, deceased on Dec. 15, 1998. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen- brother, Wayne- his natural children, Mark, Michael, Mary Jo and Patrick. Al's family tree had more branches than a willow, yet was strong as an oak, with stepchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom were very special to their Poppa." He had been an entrepreneur in several business ventures of his own and a working partner in many others, most recently, Larry's Transmission. There was always a passionate hobby of one type of another in Al's life. It usually entailed taking something old that he could build and restore, such as antique cars or tractors. Mary Iuppa - Pueblo Chieftain - October 16, 1999 - Mary Iuppa, went to be with the Lord on Oct. 14, 1999. Survived by her sister, Helen (Clyde) Monnet; two sisters-in-law; and two brothers-in-law; numerous nieces and nephews whom she cherished; and special friend, Mary McKay. Preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters. She retired as a dedicated teacher from School District 70. She also belonged to Delta Kappa Sorority, American Business Women's Association, and the Retired Teachers Association. Memorial Mass in her honor will be held Saturday, 10 a.m., St. Francis Xavier Church. Brother of Stephanie Ivan and Primas Ivan Jr., both of the family home; John Dalfour, Laguna Beach, Calif.; Angie Sepesi, Mary Lest and Sylvia (Kelso) Ivey, all of Pueblo; Margie Lee and Ray Ivan, Hollywood, Calif.; Phyllis Sepesi, Cleveland, Ohio, and Ronald (Conniea) Ivan, Pueblo. Survived also by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Primas Ivan Sr., Jan. 12, 1955, and Josephine Ivan, March 11, 1979. A lifetime resident of Pueblo. Mr. Ivan was a member of Mt. Carmel parish and KSKJ, St. Joseph Lodge No. 7. He was formerly employed by Crews Beggs and White and Davis Department Stores in Pueblo and Kaufman's Department Store in Colorado Springs. He retired from Treasure Chest Reality of Pueblo. He was a veteran of service with the U.S. Army during World War 11 and was a recipient of the Purple Hart. Services, Mt. Carmel Church. Stephanie J. "Fawnie" Ivan - Pueblo Chieftain - March 26, 2004 - Stephanie J. "Fawnie" Ivan, age 94, born Jan. 30, 1910, passed away March 23, 2004. Preceded in death by her parents, Primas Ivan Sr. and Josephine Ivan; sisters, Jean Balfour, Mary Lest, Angie Sepesi, Sylvia Ivey and Phyllis Sepesi; and brothers, John Ivan, Primas Ivan Jr. and Ray Ivan. Survived by her sister, Margie Lee of Hollywood, Calif.; and brother, Ronald W. (Connie) Ivan. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and -nephews. Stephanie was a member of the Western Slavonic Association and KSKJ St. Joseph's Lodge No. 7. She was a member of both St. Mary and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church parishes and was a lifelong resident of the Grove neighborhood. Grant T. Iverson – Pueblo Chieftain - August 01, 1998 - Grant T. Iverson passed away July 30, 1998. Survived by his sister, Jennie Myrand, Dickinson, N.D. - and numerous nieces and nephews. Michael Iverson - Colorado Springs Gazette - December 2, 1988 - Springs Man Killed in Pueblo Accident - Pueblo - A construction worker from Colorado Springs was electrocuted when the boom on a truck he was leaning against touched a power line at a construction site in south Pueblo, authorities said. Michael Iverson, 27, was pronounced dead at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Police say Iverson and another man were using the truck to move wallboard for an expansion project at a Safeway store when the boom on the truck touched a 7,620-volt overhead power line. Iverson worked for Pioneer Materials West Inc. of Colorado Springs.

Iverson, William B.
William B. Iverson – Pueblo Chieftain – August 15, 2006 - William B. Iverson, beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend went to be with the Lord Aug. 13, 2006, after a courageous battle with kidney cancer. Bill was born April 18, 1924, to Fred and Martha Iverson and grew up on a farm near Hitterdal, Minn. He married Ruth E. Mattson on Feb. 14, 1945. They moved to Cutbank, Mont., where their two daughters were born. Bill spent his entire working career as a journeyman plumber beginning in Cutbank, Mont., then Glendale, Calif., and finally in Pueblo, Colo. Bill was a faithful member of Hope Lutheran Church and King of Kings Lutheran Church where he served as a choir member and on various church committees. Bill's lifelong passion was music and he belonged to the local chapter of the Barbershoppers as a charter member for 37 years singing bass in many quartets and choruses. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ruth E. Iverson; two daughters, Kathleen Iverson, Pueblo, and Louise (Brent) Holtcamp, Colorado Springs; two grandchildren, Jorgan and Britta Holtcamp, Colorado Springs; two sisters, Evelyn Wheeler, Moorehead, Minn., Della (Frank) Fredrickson, Phoenix, Ariz.; and one brother, Harold (Margie) Iverson, Fargo, N.D.; as well as many nieces and nephews. Bill will be remembered and missed by family and friends for his wonderful smile and sense of humor, his willingness to help others and his silent strength of character. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service to celebrate Bill's life, 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, 2006, King of Kings Lutheran Church. Ivey, Helen Toliver
Mrs. Helen Toliver Ivey - Pueblo Chieftain - December 2, 2006 - Mrs. Helen Toliver Ivey, 100, of Pueblo, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006, at her home. She was born in Clarksville, Okla., and moved to Pueblo in 1933, after marrying Benjamin Grant Ivey. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Benjamin; son, Norval; daughter, Marjorie Ivey; and 10 siblings. Mrs. Ivey is survived by her daughters, Dorothy Lee, Helena, Ella Mae and Frances; and sons, Winford, Raymond and Benjamin; also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ivey attended New Hope Baptist Church and was a longtime member. At the family's request, a private service will be held.

Maurice "Brick" Ivey Sr. - Pueblo Chieftain - July 16, 2002 - Maurice "Brick" Ivey Sr., 91, went to be with the Lord July 15, 2002, in Pueblo, Colo. Born Aug. 11, 1910, in Pueblo to Jessie and Anne Ivey who preceded him; along with his first wife, Edith Ivey; and sisters, Eunice Wilke and Floral Weber. Survived by his loving wife, Willadean Ivey; children, Dolores (Jerry) Ward, Phyllis (Al) Orr and Maurice (Lorene) Ivey Jr.; grandchildren, Doug (Betsy) Ward, Scott (Debbie) Ward, Greg (Val) Ward, Mark (Tina) Orr, David (Sharon) Orr, Maurene (Steve) O'Dorisio and Kristi (Dale) Spinuzzi; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. He retired in 1972 with 46 years of service as a conductor for the Missouri Pacific Railroad and was a member of Elks BPOE No. 90 and Eagles Aerie No. 145. Memorial service, 9 a.m. Thursday, First Congregational Church. Cremation according to his request. Donations may be made to the First Congregational Church Memorial Fund in his memory.

Sylvia E. Ivey - Pueblo Chieftain - December 13, 1986 - Sylvia E. Ivey, a lifetime Pueblo resident, late of 822 E. Eighth Street, passed away Dec. 10, 19S6. Mrs. Ivey had worked at Colorado Supply, the PAD, and the Colorado State Hospital, from which she retired. She was a member of the St. Leander Church and was a PERA retiree. She is survived by her husband, Kelse Ivey; one stepson, James Ivey of Galveston, Texas; six sisters, Stephanie Ivan, Angie Sepesi and Mary Lest of Pueblo; Jean Balfour of Laguna Beach, Calif.; Margie Lee of Hollywood, Calif.; and Phyllis Sepesi of Cleveland, Ohio; three brothers, Primas Ivan Jr. and Ronald (Connie) Ivan of Pueblo; and Ray Ivan of Hollywood, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ivey was preceded in death by her parents, Primas Ivan Sr. in 1955; and Josephine Ivan in 1979, and by a brother, John Ivan in 1986. Services will be held at St. Leander Church, with Mass of Christian Burial at 7 p.m. Sunday and rosary recitation at 10 a.m. Monday. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Ivy, Mrs.
Mrs. Ivy – Pueblo Colorado Daily Chieftain – August 19, 1875 – There was a sad and sudden death here on Saturday last. Mrs. Ivy, wife of Rev. Ivy, who used to live on the school land at Pueblo. Mrs. Ivy had been ailing for some days, the doctor prescribed salts. But by mistake administered cyanide of potassium. The lady died in less than three hours, the husband and father was absent.

Izett, John
John Izett - Basalt Journal - October 20, 1906 - While standing in front of a mirror, adjusting his necktie and collar, preparatory to starting for work and while apparently in the best of health, John Izett, manager of the St. John & Barnes plumbing establishment at Trinidad, dropped dead of heart failure without a moment's warning in the presence of his wife. Mr. Izett was formerly in business in Denver.
