The writing on the back of the postcard provides the following identification "This is Mrs. OAKS and her son Clide on their homestead 1/2 mile north of Dorwin OUDERKIRK & taken some kodak pictures when out there vester in front yd with crow bar him and Clide have just killed a rattler. A neighbor Mr. SCOTT with horse, this was about 35 mi south of Pueblo, Colo". All four people in the photographs appear to be adult size, though I cannot see all their faces to give you a better age. I was able to find records of a Clyde OAKS b. 21 Mar 1897 and d. Dec 1978 in Pueblo Co. CO so I'm wondering if that might be the same person in the photograph. I am hoping to locate someone from this OAKS Family so that this special old photograph can be returned to their care.
