Colorado Transcript 2-17-1921 – Local Paragraphs – R. Zehnder, living north of Golden, was taken into custody by the sheriff yesterday, and will be taken to the insane asylum at Pueblo. Young Zehnder was adjudged insane a few weeks ago and placed under charge of his mother. However, she has been unable to control him and the authorities have decided to place him in the institution.

Fort Collins Courier 9-19-1922 – Children Go To State Home. Loveland, Sept. 16. – Probation Officer John Ransom has taken the two grandchildren of Pete Zimbleman to the state home for dependents at Denver. Mr. Zimbleman was adjudged insane at a hearing in Fort Collins Wednesday and was taken to Pueblo for treatment. The children had been staying with their grandparents at Loveland.

Rocky Mountain News 12-10-1892 – Civil Briefs – Two unfortunates were yesterday declared insane and they will be sent to the asylum at Pueblo for treatment. Harry Leftwick, one of the patients, is a confirmed epileptic, and the other, Mrs. Augusta H. Zimmerman, is a young married woman of about 18 years of age, who has only recently become afflicted.

Fort Collins Courier 2-12-1891 – Edward Zinn, a resident of our town, who has been diseased for six months or more, both mentally and physically, is almost hopelessly insane and watchers are necessary all the time to prevent him from injuring himself and family. There will be an effort made for his admission to the insane asylum. Sheriff Wolaver will lay the case before the county commissioners for their action in this truly unfortunate case.; Fort Collins Courier 4-9-1891 – Edward Zinn, who has been afflicted, physically and mentally for nearly a year, was taken to Greeley on Saturday by Deputy Sheriff Hopkins. Judge Thompson summoned a jury, and his condition was investigated. A verdict of insanity was brought in by the jury. He was conveyed to the insane asylum the same evening.

Zulauf, Charles E.
Pueblo Indicator 6-9-1934 - Charles E. Zulauf, 80, of Lyons, Colo., who was adjudged mentally incompetent by County Judge E. J. Ingram recently, had $2619 in currency in his pockets when taken into custody, officers told the court. He was ordered confined in the state hospital at Pueblo and the money was turned over to his son and daughter. They said Zulauf lived alone and the money represented his life's savings.
