Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade Ave. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Valhala Memorial Park, Pueblo. Mrs. Allenbach was born Feb. 3, 1913, in Ordway to Albertus and Ethel (Waugh) Beleval. She has been a resident of the area since 1988 and lived in Pueblo before moving to Colorado Springs. She was married in Raton, N.M., to William Harvey Allenbach, who died in 1968. Mrs. Allenbach is survived by a daughter, Sandra Badger of Green Mountain Falls; a son, Bert Allenbach of Colorado Springs; and two grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 2215 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs 80907.

Paul B. Alston Jr. - Pueblo Chieftain - June 25, 2004 - Paul B. Alston Jr., 69, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away unexpectedly at Parkview Hospital E.R. Sunday evening, June 20, 2004. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan; son, Joey Alston; son and daughter-in-law, Randall and Joy Alston; grandchildren, Evan Alston and Shanon Hughes; daughter, D.J. Alston; sisters, Vernell and Vergie Alston. Mr. Alston retired from the State of Colorado Mental Health as a registered medical technologist II. He enjoyed bowling and spending time with his family. He is predeceased by his parents, brother, sisters; an infant daughter, Janie; and former spouse, Lucille Alston, mother of Randall and D.J. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family members and a host of friends. At Paul's request, there will be no viewing. Funeral Mass, 9:30 a.m. Friday, at the Cathedral of Sacred Heart, with Father Ron Roche as celebrant. Burial, Monday, June 28, 2004, at Fort Logan National Cemetery. Full military honors by Fort Carson Honor Guard.

Survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Lorraine F. Anderson; daughter, Glenna Mae Santistevan; son-in-law, Ernie F. Santistevan; grandson, Albert E. Santistevan (Albert R. Salazar Jr.); sister, Blanche Belvill; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends including the McClure Family. Noble Albert G. Anderson was a member of the Al Kaly Shrine, Pueblo Lodge No. 17 for 47 years, and the Jolly Sam's Club. He retired from the State Hospital after 22 years of service. Pueblo Indicator 10-7-1939 - Graduating Exercises at the State Hospital Wednesday - Graduation of Psychiatric Nurses Was a Great Event at the Institution - Wednesday was graduation day for a class that has been studying care of psychiatric patients at the Colorado State Hospital for the past six months.  The graduates received diplomas as psychiatric aides and will be given employment in the institution.  The training of psychiatric aides was started two years ago to improve the standards forward attendants at the hospital.  Some of the students will continue the three year course in other institutions to become registered nurses.  County Judge Hubert Glover delivered the commencement address at the exercises in the hospital chapel.  Miss Isabel Reardon, director of nursing, and Dr. J. L. Rosenbloom, assistant superintendent of the hospital, presented diplomas.  Rabbi Perry Nussbaum gave the invocation and Rev. Paul Fife expressed the benediction.  Dr. F. H. Zimmerman, hospital superintendent, was in charge of the program.  The processional was played by the WPA orchestra.  Graduates are Robert L. Rittgers, Denver; Evelyn Fones, Fowler; Frank Gallegos, Trinidad; Ralph Gerstenberger, Byars; Ruth Ann Kropf, Denver; Forest Lanning, Bristol; William Love, Longmont; John A. Born in La Lagunita, N.M., on May 23, 1932, to Petrolino Apodaca and Naborah Aragon who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Archie Aragon and Felipe Aragon; uncles, Jose Trujillo, Avelino Trujillo, both of New Mexico; aunts, Benia Chavez, Luz Martinez of New Mexico; sister-in-law, Margaret Aragon of Denver; father- and mother-in-law, Antonio Padilla and Jean Sanchez, both of New Mexico; and brother-in-law, Clyde Padilla of New Mexico. Survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Maria Beatrice Apodaca; sisters, Rosario Madrid (Amadeo), Rosa Ramirez of New Mexico, Maria Dolores Phillips of Denver; brother, Jose D. Aragon (Connie) of Pueblo; children, Michael, Eddie (Connie) and family, Tony (Cindy) and family, Ruth (Paul) Romero and family, Francine (Gilbert) and family; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. In 1958, Tony worked for the CF&I when he was only 18 years old. Then he moved back to Las Vegas, N.M., and worked as an orderly in the hospital for the Elderly Meadows Home. In 1961, he moved to Gilman, Colo., and worked in the mines for three years. He moved back to Pueblo and started working for the Colorado State Hospital and retired after 20 years of service. Tony was a true Broncos fan and also a Jack of all trades. He was a family man and had many friends. Visitation, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, followed by a vigil service at 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Funeral service, 2 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2006, Imperial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment, Imperial Memorial Gardens.

Survived by his daughter, Ruth Ann (Steve) Gillispie of Pueblo West; grandchildren, Brad (Rachel Mairer) Dotson and Todd (Rickette Jamnik) Dotson; sisters, Mamie Weiss of Moffat, Colo., Hazel Breumeier of Greeley, Colo., and Donna Stolen of Minnesota; sisters-in-law, Anne Davis of Raynesford, Mont., Juanita Asbury of Pueblo, and JoAnn Asbury of Boone; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Pauline Asbury, on April 23, 2000; parents, Henry and Mayme Asbury; son, Frank Asbury Jr.; brothers, Earl Asbury and Henry "Hank" Asbury; and sister, Anna Mae Hale. Born Aug. 19, 1919, in Dillon, Mont. Frank served in U.S. Marines during WWII at Midway Island in heavy artillery operations. He farmed in Avondale for many years and was also employed at Colorado State Hospital until retiring in 1982. At his request, there will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. A graveside committal service will be held for both Frank and Pauline at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, at Roselawn Cemetery, with Rev. Robert Enck officiating. Those who desire may make memorials to National Parkinson Foundation, c/o the funeral home.

Juanita Berniece Ashbrook - Pueblo Chieftain - September 19, 2003 - Juanita Berniece Ashbrook, 85, passed away Sept. 16, 2003. Born Oct. 2, 1917, in Castle Rock, Colo., to Lile A. and Cynthia Shelton who preceded her; along with her loving husband, John V. Ashbrook; brother, Lile A. Shelton; and sister, Cynthia Aline Oberheide. Survived by her daughter, Vicki (Chris) Lembcke; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and nieces and nephews. Juanita retired from the Colorado State Hospital, and also was a volunteer for the Pueblo Visitor Center. Juanita was a member of the P.E.O. Chapter C.G. and served as president, vice president and treasurer. Memorial service, 10 a.m. Saturday, St. Paul United Methodist Church. Private family inurnment at a later date. Donations may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, or P.E.O. Chapter C.G. in care of Helen Reichert, 125 Dunsmere Ave., Pueblo, CO 81004 in her memory.

Sarah M. Atteberry-Ames - Pueblo Chieftain - May 27, 1999 - Sarah M. Atteberry-Ames passed away May 21, 1999, in Pueblo. Sarah was born in Tahlequah, Okla., on Jan. 13, 1936, and had lived in Pueblo since her teenage years. She was employed as a registered nurse at Parkview Hospital and the State Hospital for many years and was a professor of nursing and psychology at USC. She also served on the board of Spanish Peaks Mental Health. Sarah was proud of her Cherokee Indian heritage and enjoyed volunteering as a greeter at the State Fair and traveling the world. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Mary Cain- and a brother, O.D. Edwards. Sarah is survived by her husband, Lonnie Ames- children, Jeanette (Peter) Coleman, Eugene (Billea) Ames, David (Beatrice) Atteberry, Darryl Atteberry, Doug Atteberry, all of Pueblo, Eric (Shawndra) Ames of Thornton- her grandchildren, Jeremy Campbell, Jeanine Atteberry, Darryl Jones, David and Tiffany Atteberry, Chesley, Alyssa, Matthew, Aaron, Chance Ames and Desmond- her great-grandson, Dominic Gallegos- her parents-in-law, Bertha Ames-Ackerman and Delon Ackerman of Minnesota- numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins including, Shirley Edwards, Sharon Troyer, both of Pueblo and Butch Edwards of California.
