This page is very respectfully dedicated to Albert Vidaure. Albert is one of our Taos County Research Volunteers and has done a tremendous service to many of our researchers that have written in to ask for help. Beings we often receive requests for the same names or families, I thought we would post Albert's answers here to help anyone in the future that is looking for these same families. Although Albert is very diligent about quoting his sources when he responds to a request, he still advises everyone to check the records for themselves, thus making the data a primary source instead of a secondary source. Please use and enjoy Albert's research. You may contact him at: vidaurre@taosnet.com ABOUT ALBERT: "I was born in Llano de San Juan, New Mexico, 20 July 1947. After almost 25 years with the Santa Fe and Taos Police Departments, I retired with the rank of Police Major from the Taos Police Department in Dec.of 1991. I am a graduate of several Police schools including the FBI National Academy. Yes I was only 45 years old when I retired. (I've heard that at least 20 times.) I am busier now, retired, than when I was working. I have been doing family research since the early 1980s (B.C.-before computers) I was trained by Jerry Padilla and Al Regensberg. Two of the best researchers, friends and mentors. I have concentrated on my maternal lineage as well as my wifes family, leaving my paternal line for last with a promise to get to it "shortly". My Surname is French Basque. I have completed 6 books. Three on the Romeros, 1 on the Martinez, 1 on the Trujillo/Fresquez and 1 on the Sanchez/Lovatos lines. They are no longer available and they are family specific." Families that have been researched:
